 A graduate of the School of Medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, NY, Dr. Elwyn completed her Post Graduate training with a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston, Texas. A diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Elwyn is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Elwyn's specialty is in breast surgery and women's health as well as surgical oncology and nutrition. She is a member of several professional organizations which specialize in women's health, including:
- The Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group
- American Women's Medical Association
- Association of Women's Surgeons
- American Society of Breast Surgeons
In addition to her clinical appointments, Dr. Elwyn is currently on staff as Attending Surgeon at Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt. Kisco, NY, White Plains Hospital, White Plains, NY and was Medical Director of The Breast Center at Northern Westchester Hospital from 1999-2002.
